If you start to see piece of your hairs at your shower drain or you are start to worry that your thick hair will not last forever, you should start to pay attention of foods that prevent hair loss. Since hair is mainly made of protein then you need to consume a rich protein diet to maintain your hair healthy. Consuming more iron for your diet does not mean you have to eat calf liver every day, but when you are craving something sweet, choose dried fruits like raisins or cherry juice instead as they contain high iron. Beside that, you can choose dates, dark green leafy vegetables, whole-grain cereals and eggs. And because the C- Vitamins improves the iron absorption, you should also take fruits like strawberries, oranges, and lemons as they are foods that prevent hair loss. Eat raw foods instead of cooked if possible to obtain more nutritional value, choose from Silica-rich foods like bean sprouts, cucumber, red and green peppers, and potatoes.
Do not forget that Zinc deficiencies will lead to hair loss problem as the follicles will weaken and causing your hair to fall out. To prevent hair loss, eat zinc-heavy foods such as mussels, shrimp, oysters and other sea foods. Overall, you can manage your health from a balanced diet, so does health of your hair.
